inspired to achieve results????
Why is it most people don’t achieve the results and outcomes they want?"Yes – if you’re not achieving the results you want, it will be because ofthe following reasons - perhaps just one of them, a combination or even allof them! The flip of course is alignment of these four critical success factors willguarantee consistent outcomes… every time!
Here’s the model:I call it the G – P – A – F ModelGOALPLANACTIONFEEDBACK
Let me explain:The starting point is a compelling GoalI always remember the first time I heard this expression related to goalsetting: “If you don’t know where you’re going…all the roads lead there!”How true is that?!Whether personally or professionally a compelling, worthy goal is thestarting point of the entire process. The next step the Plan – once you’re locked in on the goal what does theplan look like in order to get you there?Once set – what Actions do you need to take, aligned to the plan in orderto deliver the goal? And finally…The final step, without regular Feedback - how do you know whether you’reon track or not? Regular reviews or a regular feedback loop is essential. Now, back to the opening statement: "Why is it most people don’t achieve the results and outcomes they want?"Which of the factors is it down to?ü Is the goal unrealistic in the first place and just not achievable?Have you been too optimistic with the timescales?ü Is the plan or strategy to deliver the goal just not going to crackit or…ü Is it that you or your people are just not following the plan inorder to achieve the goal? And finally…ü The only way you know is if you’re blocking out quality time toreview on a frequent basisSummary…If there are goals or outcomes you’re not achieving currently – perhaps nowis the time to block out some quality time and review them against thissimple, yet highly effective model.
